Google is serious confirms that Android is an operating system that is secure.

Having previously done sorting from the side of the app in the Play Store, this time the internet giant is introducing a series of smartphones  that are suitable for business needs.

Just for information, devices used for business needs are usually equipped with a more qualified security system.

Therefore, given the many assumptions that Android is less secure, not many business users use this operating system.

However, to dismiss that presumption, this time Google launched the Android Enterprise Recommended program.

As the name implies, this program presents a list of Android devices that are suitable for corporate business purposes. Similarly, as quoted from The Verge , Monday (26/2/2018)

Google says devices that can be included in this list must meet a number of requirements, such as minimal hardware support capable of running Android Nougat (7.0), mass marketed, able to provide security updates after 90 days and released for up to three years, and sell their devices freely ( unlock ).

As a first step, Google also has provided a list of smartphones  that meet these criteria.

All Pixel models from Google clearly fit this requirement, ranging from Pixel, Pixel XL, Pixel 2, and Pixel 2 XL.

While the device outside the Pixel series is BlackBerry KeyOne and Motion, Huawei Mate 10 and the entire line of P10, LG V30 and G6, Motorola X4 and Z2, Nokia 8, including most of the latest series of Sony Xperia X line.

Google itself plans to add to this list of devices as time passes. According to some, this is a Google effort to make Android coupled with iOS, MacOS, including Windows 10 that is often used by large companies.

Although it must be admitted, such a business will not play a major role for corporate earnings. However, as more and more users of Android devices in a company indirectly can increase the overall user ecosystem.

Try to compare with Apple, with its newest operating system - iOS 10 - has now reached 28 percent. In fact, both Android Nougat and iOS 10 launch time is not much different.

That number is small, because the remaining 65 percent have switched to the latest operating system, iOS 11.
